Why you dont need to buy the NFL Sunday Ticket package ever again..

NFL_SUNDAY_TICKET

That’s right…its that time of year again! AMERICAN FOOTBALL TIME! *aka best time of the year*  Its great when your team is on Fox/CBS/NBC or NFL Network but what if your team is shown on a local station in another state? The solution used to be buying the NFL Sunday Ticket which is only available to DirecTV customers…oh yea it also cost $300!!

With the evolution of steaming technology, particularly over the past 2 years, there is no reason to buy any NFL package of any kind.  Every game will be streamed on the internet and its simply a matter of knowing where to look to find the game you wish to watch.

Here is a list I’ve comprised of sites that will be showing all the NFL games:

Veetle (my personal favorite)

  • can stream flawless HD which looks incredible on the TV via the 'ol HTPC
  • streams to iPhones and iPads without the need to download software. simply go to veetle.com inside of the Safari mobile phone browser and voila!
  • as a bonus if the game is a snorefest you can simply change veetle channels and watch a random movie =]

MyP2P.eu

  • another great site that lists every NFL games with a mass variety of links
  • also has every other sport steam imaginable

NFLstreams

  • haven't used this site before but it appears to be very nice and obviously totally dedicated to the NFL
  • lists the schedule of all NFL games with available steams which is a HUGE plus
  • doesn't look like they've updated with the 2010/2011 schedule but I'm sure they will judging by the forums posts

Rojadirecta

  • least well known site in the list but has most if not all NFL games and some very hard to find events

IT job satisfaction plummets to all-time low

"Experts say unhappy critical IT workers will likely seek more 'purposeful' jobs elsewhere..."

Well it sure doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. Here is the big part of the article --

"A mid-2009 job satisfaction survey by the Corporate Executive Board, a Washington-based advisory firm that counts many Fortune 500 firms among its clients, found that the number of dissatisfied workers continues to increase. The firm surveys 150,000 workers each quarter, asking a battery of behavioral questions about their jobs. About 10,000 of the those surveyed work in IT jobs, board officials said.

The CEB's latest survey found that the willingness of IT employees to "exert high levels of discretionary effort" -- put in extra hours to solve a problem, make suggestions for improving processes, and generally seek to play a key role in an organization -- has plummeted to its lowest levels since the survey was launched 10 years ago.

In 2007, about 12% of the IT employees fit in category of "highly engaged" workers, but that has since fallen to 4%.

"These are literally the most critical employees," said Jaime Capella, a managing director in CEB's information technology practice. Moreover, such critical workers are 2.5 times more likely than the average employee to be looking for new opportunities.

"They are likely to be the first ones to leave your company as soon as they can," Capella said."
